How to Attend a Gateways Event
Make sure you have the appropriate amount of currency. Player Characters (PCs) pay $55.00 at the door and $45.00 by pre-registering no later than the Friday prior to an event. Non-player Characters (NPCs) now play for free.
PCs with a good ratio (a good ratio is defined as having historically NPCed one (1) event for every two (2) events PCed) pay $35.00 if they pre-register.
Additionally, if you plan to attend only half of the event, you need only provide half the payment.

You may submit a production request to Logistics prior to the event so that your check-in runs smoothly.
If you have yet to fill out a medical and/or legal release form for the current year you may print them out here and here, respectively. Bring the completed forms to the event and hand them to Logistics.
After all these preparations are done, sit back and bask in the knowledge that you will soon experience Therendry in all of its glory.
Check In
You must first procure your receipt. This is most easily accomplished by paying.
Next, sign yourself in, choosing a cabin in the process. At this time you will also receive any extra forms you might need such as magic item lists, marshal notes, spell sheets, production request forms, and character sheets.
Now you should find the Fantastic Character Database Guy (TM) and get a copy of your character or enter a new character into the system. At this time you may also spend free build. You now have a bunch of paperwork that includes your character sheet, which needs to be signed.
In order to get your character sheet signed, you must be in costume, have the Weapon Marshall approve your weapons, and have your receipt. Someone will inspect the physical representations for your old tags, give you any new tags that you might need, and then sign your character sheet.
After all is done, hang around for opening ceremonies where much important information is dispensed. This time is traditionally used by wise players to socialize.
Character Updates & Transfers
To update your character, see the Marvelous Database Monkey (TM) at the event or email that notable. Similarly, to transfer a character into or out of the database, you must communicate with the database administrator. Transfers to and from other chapters will only be honored if all of a player's characters are transferred at once.
"I want my character sent to..."
If you'd like your character sheet sent to another chapter, you must email the database administrator one (1) week before the event in question. Include where you'll be playing and on what date, as well as your character's name. After the event, you must bring back either a signed copy of your character sheet from that event, or a receipt in order to receive experience points (XP) for the event.
NPC Awards
We need NPCs! If you have attended three (3) or more Gateways events as a PC, do we have a deal for you. Gateways awards two (2) full goblin blankets (60 Points) to your designated PC in exchange for full-time NPC duty. Also, if you NPC for at least six (6) hours during an event, your character from that event will be given an automatic max-out. Can you beat a deal like that? Entertaining your fellow roleplayer whilst simultaneously having a good time...it doesn't get any better.
